Stephanie Bockstael Design provides residential interior design services catering to projects of varying scales. Whether you're seeking assistance in choosing paint colors, selecting furniture, enhancing your ensuite bathroom, or embarking on a comprehensive top-to-bottom home renovation, we are dedicated to guiding you through each step of the process.
DESIGN CONSULTATION ONLY
A 90 minute in-person (or virtual) design consultation at your home.
Clients that choose this option require a bit of guidance but plan to execute the project on their own. We spend this time however you choose but typically start with a walk through of your space and discuss your expectations. This visit can include selecting paint colours, rearranging furniture and accessories, reviewing material or finish selections you have made, and discussing design, layout and function for various spaces. We can provide you with budget and timeline approximations, as well as advice for how to proceed.

BASIC DESIGN PACKAGE
Design Consultation + Conceptual Design Concept
Clients that choose this option need a bit more guidance than the Design Consultation alone. Along with the consultation, the client will receive a design concept package to help visualize what the final space can be.
A 90 minute in-person (or virtual) design consultation at your home is scheduled. We walk through your space and have a detailed discussion about the specific changes you would like to make. All essential information is gathered that will allow us to understand your wants, needs, and design aesthetic. We may do some space planning sketches, take a few measurements and photos, and provide you with design suggestions on the spot.
After the necessary information is gathered, we will take this back to our office and create a design concept for your space. This will be presented to you in the form of a conceptual design board. This is a great visual tool that will communicate the design concept in a quick and easy way. Depending on the type of space this may include basic sketches, inspiration images, furniture, lighting, decor ideas, and paint colour selections. All pertinent product information will be included. PDF’s will be emailed to you within 2-3 weeks and include a follow up email, phone call, or video chat.

COMPLETE DESIGN PACKAGE
Full Design Service
A 90 minute in-person design consultation at your home is scheduled. We walk through your space and discuss the areas you would like to address. We will have a detailed discussion about the project scope. All essential information is gathered that will allow us to understand your wants, needs, budget and design aesthetic. We will take full measurements and photos of all rooms included in the scope.
After the consultation you will receive a Design Proposal and Contract. Once the proposal is approved and Contract is signed we will begin working on your project.
We will review the project requirements and draft as-built drawings. Using these drawings as a baseline we will begin space planning, referring to all project requirements. Floor plan options are created. An initial look at finishes and overall design aesthetic may be included in this phase. After 2-4 weeks (depending on project scale, scope, and availability) a meeting in scheduled to review the design ideas.
A design direction is agreed upon by the client and designer. Required changes are made and the drawings are developed further. Finishes, lighting, and furniture selections are made (scope dependent). Another meeting is scheduled with the client to present the developed design.
Drawings and finishes are finalized for construction. The client will be provided with final drawings, interior finish schedules, lighting and furniture selections, as required and outlined in the project scope.
A project plan is developed and may include referring contractors, coordinating deliveries and installations, working closely with the contractor, and conducting periodic site visits.

CUSTOM DESIGN PACKAGE
Design Services tailored to you
Clients who choose this option need design assistance in some areas but not others. We start with a 90 minute in-person (or virtual) design consultation at your home where we walk through your space and discuss the areas you would like to address. We will have a discussion about the project scope and budget, and jot down all essential information that will allow us to understand your wants, needs, and desired design aesthetic. Measurements and photos will be taken as required.
The design services included in the scope can vary widely and are tailored to your needs. Some clients need assistance with space planning and require floor plans and elevation drawings, but prefer to select the finishes on their own. Other clients would like us to source light fixtures and flooring, but do not require any formal drawings. This option is customizable and tailored to you and allows us to adapt to your needs. We can accompany you to all of your showroom visits and assist in selecting lighting, millwork, plumbing fixtures, interior and exterior finishes. The list of decisions is long but the process should be fun, and we are here to make it seamless and ensure your home is everything you imagine it would be.
